During the National Main Street Conference, I had the absolute pleasure of getting a first look at the documentary created by Notice Films titled - Urban Century: America's Return to Main Street.
The filmmakers are in the process of submitting the film to festivals across the country, but I hope to hold a screening of this film in downtown Greenville as soon as possible.
It is a beautiful film that helps to tell the story of Main Street Greenville's mission and the mission of any Main Street program across the entire nation.
It also helps to tell the inspiring story of the business owners who have owned stores in downtown districts for many years and the story of those who are creating new businesses.
I am proud that I live in a community that not only supports the efforts of our downtown district, but also recognizes it as a true asset to the success of the entire city and county.
